Annual membership is on a sliding scale basis, with free membership for law students and attorneys in their first year of practicing law. As a member you will pay reduced admission to many GALLOP events and pay a reduced membership fee to join the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association. Additionally, as GALLOP recently obtained 501(c)(3) status, your dues and other contributions are now tax deductible! Domestic Partnership
GALLOP is pleased to report that domestic partnership health insurance coverage is available from Philadelphia Bar Association-sponsored Independence Blue Cross insurance programs. Benefits are available through Colburn-Bertholon-Rowland Insurance Service. To learn more about available benefits and/or how to apply, contact Kathleen M. Geyer at (610)833-1800 x 3099.
Ain't Nobody's Business: Confidentiality
A number of people have requested information regarding the confidentiality of GALLOP's mailing list. Neither GALLOP's mailing list nor the names of individual members are ever disclosed to any organization or individual outside GALLOP's Board of Directors. On occasion, the Board authorizes mailings from outside organizations to those on GALLOP's mailing list when the Board determines that such mailings would be of particular interest or concern to GALLOP members. When the Board makes such a determination, an organization delivers stuffed and stamped envelopes to the Board. Board members then apply labels from our mailing list to these envelopes and deliver the envelopes directly to the post office. This system is the result of the GALLOP Board's commitment to keeping the Philadelphia gay and lesbian legal community informed while maintaining strict confidentiality.
